Gillian Stone and Kalila Badali at the Church of the Unholy Cacophony

(EST, UTC-05) (EST, UTC-05)

Church of the Unholy Cacophony, Toronto

Join us for a cozy house show as Gillian Stone and Kalila Badali delve into the realm of droning neofolk and atmospheric sonic landscapes.

ABOUT:

Between reimagining folk music, traversing ecological imagery, representation through Occult and Pagan iconography, and exploring issues of mental health, threads of symbiosis run deeply between Gillian Stone and Kalila Badali’s creative work. Both artists are currently writing music about the women from their heritage, focusing on their Icelandic and Slovenian roots, respectively. They will be debuting new works from this exploration of matriarchal lineage at the Church of the Unholy Cacophony. Gillian and Kalila will each play a set of their own work, accompanying each other, in their first (of what will be many) collaborative musical venture.
